the high sierra nevada still picking up some snow. up to 6" above 7,000 feet but the snow levels dropping down to 3,000 so if you are headed in that direction, pack the chains. as we look toward the rest of the afternoon, things clear out. thursday a nice day although it will again be a cool and brisk day. and then friday, a storm system rolls off the coastline. it will bring with it more clouds and chance of showers out toward the immediate coast and that's about it. temperatures for highs today going to stay way down. 54 degrees in fremont. 54 in san mateo. east bay numbers only into the 50s. you notice the blue over the mountaintops. those are temperatures for highs only in the 40s. temperatures mainly into the 50s toward the next couple of days but how about this for overnight lows? down into the 30s, frosty start to the day tomorrow. wouldn't be surprised if we saw some of those temperatures dropping off into the 20s in some spots. otherwise, we are looking at some dry weather for the better part of thursday and friday. better ch
